Study In UK- Ongoing International Scholarships at Newcastle University, 2018

Newcastle University is inviting applications for the ongoing 40 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships and 200 partial Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships to assist international undergraduate and postgraduate students study in United Kingdom for 2018/2019 academic session.

The overarching aim of establishing the Newcastle University was to transform the public higher education to improve quality and efficiency of teaching and learning, creating a world-class higher learning institution.

Newcastle University is one England’s best-known institutions of higher learning and one of the leading universities in the world. The mission of Newcastle University is the advancement of learning and the creation and dissemination of knowledge, by offering the best possible education, by carrying out research and scholarly activities judged to be excellent by the highest international standards, and by providing service to society.

The language of instruction at Newcastle University is English. Applicant must demonstrate the required level of English proficiency prior to admission to Newcastle, regardless of citizenship status or country of origin.

 Application Deadline: June 29, 2018

Course Type: Scholarships are available to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate program.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study any of the courses offered by the university.

Scholarship Award: An award of £1,500 – £5,000 that covers tuition fee and £10,609 are available for UK nationals undertaking Master’s courses in the 2018/2019 academic year.

Nationality: Africans and other nationalities can apply.

Number of Scholarships: A total of 240 scholarships are available.

Scholarship can be taken in the UK

Eligibility:

  • All nationalities including Africans are eligible to apply.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Excelling academically.
  • Good time management and planning skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • A standard ability to manage competing demands effectively, responsibly and without close support.
  • A standard ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
